A meditation in motion, Equilibrium explores the delicate balance between stillness and movement. Two metallic spheres interact in a swirling, mesmerizing dance. The lower sphere remains grounded, solid and serene, while the upper glides across its surface in continuous motion, defying gravity and expectations.
Using our preliminary Smart Matter technology, this kinetic sculpture is perfect for common spaces: lobbies, store windows, dining rooms, even desks. The surfaces of the spheres are fully customizable: add your own color, print, seal, or logo.
The Story behind Equilibrium
When designing Smart Matter at our Chicago studio, a friend commented on how they loved our 'moving art'. This sparked the idea that we could offer the world an entirely new kind of sculpture, one that uses new technology to captivate the senses and bring wonder to the mind.
